Low Cost Spay & Neuter Clinic

Davis Animal Hospital is now offering a low cost spay and neuter option for those who qualify! Many of our local low cost spay and neuter community programs are currently shut down due to lack of staff, no funding, or both. We cannot sit by and do nothing. Our goal is to donate our time, as we are able, to continue the effort of spaying and neutering pets in our area to decrease the overwhelming burden on our local shelters and rescues.

 

PLEASE NOTE:

-We are typically booked out approximately 2 to 3 months in advance, however we do have a cancellation list and cancellations occur very often. You must request via email or text to be added to the cancellation list.

-Prepayment will due in full 2 weeks prior to your scheduled appointment. This prepayment is non-refundable and we require a minimum of 48 hours notice of cancellation. There is a $50 no-show/cancellation fee if your appointment is cancelled less than 48 hours in advance. Please refer to our FAQ page for more information.

-Pets must be 6 months old or older and at least 5 pounds in weight.

-All cats MUST be dropped off in a carrier, preferably hard-sided. If bringing multiple cats, each must be in their own individual carrier. There will be NO exceptions. Dogs must be on a leash with a fitted collar or harness.

-Spaces are limited and available on a first come, first serve basis. Pre-registration is required and eligibility guidelines must be met (see below). Please refer to our FAQ page for more information.


To be eligible for the spay/neuter clinic you must meet one or more of the following:

  • Food stamps

  • Public housing

  • Medicaid, Medipass, Kidcare, WIC, Healthease or Healthykids

  • Supplemental Security Income Program

  • Social Security

  • Disability

  • Low household income guidelines, total # of persons in family:

    • 1 $27,850

    • 2 $31,100

    • 3 $34,350

    • 4 $37,600

    • 5 $40,250

  • Verification letter that you qualify for any Florida low income program.
